Erling Haaland became the first player to score in the 2023-2024 Premier League as Manchester City began their title defence against newly promoted Burnley on Friday night.
Haaland who was instrumental to Manchester City treble last season, continued from where he stopped as he put the Cityzens ahead just four minute of play.
The former Borussia Dortmund forward completed his brace in the 36th minute as Manchester City dominated possession.

The Norwegian scored 36 goals last season to win the Premier League golden boot setting another record as most goal scored in a season with his 36 goals.
In total, Haaland scored 52 goals in 52 games in all competitions for Manchester City season in his first season with the club.
