The knockout tournament, which consists of home and away games, will begin in October with the quarterfinals.

The good news for the Aba Millionaires is that they will each receive USD 700,000 (about N529 Million Naira) as a participation fee, along with the other seven teams.

Wydad Casablanca will face Enyimba at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium (Nest of Champions) in Uyo.

The African Football League’s inaugural game and opening ceremony will take place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on October 20, 2023.

The African Football League, which was once scheduled to consist of 24 clubs and 197 matches over nine months, has been drastically reduced without a formal justification.

According to CAF representatives, the 2024–2025 edition will mark the return of the original 24-club idea.
