Czech striker Tomáš Souček who scored the first West Ham goal against Newcastle on Sunday afternoon heaped praises on Mohammed Kudus for his first goal with the club which turned to be a dramatic equalizer against the Magpies.

Aleksander Isak’s brace was helping Newcastle to return to home with all three points as Eddie Howe’s men were convinced of their victory leading 2-1 since the 62nd minute.

However, Mohammed Kudus who is feeling better and better with the Hammers chose the right moment to net his first goal with them.

The 23-year old scored the equalizing goal for his side in the 89th minute to help West Ham avoid their third loss of the season.

This draw point brings them ahead of Newcastle on Premier League standings as Hammers are 7th with 14 points while Magpies are 8th with 13.

Speaking to West Ham TV after the game, Tomáš Souček congratulated Kudus on his first goal and for his verstility.

“It’s perfect for Mo that he scored his first Premier League goal”, he said.

“He’s still new so we have to get connected with him as well, but for his confidence it was important that he scored because he is a winger and also a striker, so he needs to get on the scoresheet.

“He did that today, so that was great for us.”
