The game at Kaitaba Stadium in Kagera provided the first draw of the season for the Timu ya Mwananchi. With the result, Yanga have claimed 31 points from 12 games similar to current leaders Azam, who have played 13 matches.
For the hosts, they now have 14 points after 14 encounters and have moved one place up to 13th slot. On Saturday, Mashujaa will welcome Yanga rivals Simba SC at Lake Tanganyika Stadium in Kigoma for another electric league clash.
