CAF Champions League CCL: Simba SC vs. Mtibwa Sugar match postponed ahead of ASEC Mimosas duel

The Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB) has postponed the league match between Simba SC and Mtibwa Sugar.

Originally scheduled for Sunday at Jamhuri Stadium in Morogoro at 4:00 pm, the game has been rescheduled, according to a statement from TPLB on Friday. This decision was made to allow Simba ample preparation time as they prepare to travel to Ivory Coast for their CAF Champions League match against ASEC Mimosas.

“The new date for the postponed game will be announced soon by TPLB,” the statement says.

This will be the fifth Champions League group stage match for both teams, with ASEC Mimosas currently topping Group B with 10 points. Simba is in second place with five points, making this a crucial game for them to secure maximum points.

The match will take place at Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, on February 23.
