Kenya KCB to face Kenya Police in Mozzart Bet Cup final

KCB FC and Kenya Police FC have booked spots in the Mozzart Bet Cup finals after winning their semi-final matches against Kariobangi Sharks and AFC Leopards respectively, at the Police Sacco Stadium.

KCB and Kariobangi Sharks played to a 1-1 draw in regulation time, with back-to-back goals from KCB’s Derrick Otanga in the 77th minute and Kariobangi Sharks’ Fortune Omoto in the 79th minute.

The deadlock extended into extra time, and with both teams unable to find the back of the net, the game headed to penalties, in which, KCB emerged victorious, winning 4-2 and booking their slot in the finals.

Kenya Police and AFC Leopards resumed their match today, Monday, May 27, 2024, following a stoppage in the 60th minute. Prior to the interruption, Tito Okello had scored a goal in the sixth minute, giving Kenya Police an early lead.

Kenya Police successfully defended their advantage for the remaining 30 minutes, securing their place in the finals. The final is set to be played on June 29, 2024.
