Nigeria Premier League NPFL: Majin Vows To Fight Till Last Game With Niger Tornadoes

Majin Mohammed has stated that the Niger Tornadoes are not yet safe from relegation following their 1-0 defeat to Heartland FC.

Niger Tornadoes’ five-game unbeaten streak came to an end when they were defeated 1-0 by Heartland FC at the Dan Anyiam Stadium on Matchday 37.

Chukwudi Esobe’s first-half header in the 18th minute proved to be the game-winner, as the Tornadoes’ efforts to equalise were stopped by Heartland’s solid defence and goalkeeper Chisom Chiaha’s great performance.

Despite second-half substitutions aimed at altering the tide, the Tornadoes were unable to break behind the hosts’ defence, and Heartland won by a small margin at home.

He said; “We had a very good first half.

“We had our chances but we couldn’t convert them and then they had only one chance and converted it.

“We are not safe yet. Nobody is safe yet from 11th downward.

“We will go back home and see what we can do in the last game.

“It’s a must-win match for us.

“We will go back home and put ourselves together. We must get those three points.”

This setback puts the Tornadoes in a must-win situation in their season finale against the Sunshine Stars of Akure, which will be played next weekend in Kaduna.
