Enyimba FC’s Yemi Olanrewaju believes Sporting Lagos deserved to win over his team on Matchday 37 of the NPFL.

The ‘Noisy Lagosians’, who are struggling for survival, defeated the People’s Elephants 2-1 following a disappointing stalemate in their previous encounter.

The Enyimba coach stated that they will go all out in their last league game against Plateau United to secure a continental berth.

“The breakdown we had after the Rangers game, it is disappointing that we couldn’t recover mentally.

“We are struggling mentally.

“I don’t think we deserve the win today because Sporting Lagos showed that they wanted it more.

“That is not the stuff of the champion. Sporting Lagos deserves to get the three points.

“We cannot afford to toy with the game because that is the last hope that we have.

“Everybody knows what is at stake. We can’t compromise.

“We must give everything to get the three points.”
