Rwanda Rwanda Premier league Awards 2024 postponed to August 9

The Rwanda Premier League end of season awards gala has been postponed from June 15 to August 9 at Kigali Serena Hotel.

Organizers explained that rescheduling the awarding event was necessary as the initial dates coincided with other sports activities, mainly the upcoming derby between APR FC and Rayon Sports.

“Due to the coincidence with other sports activities, Rwanda Premier league and its partners wish to inform fans and all stakeholders that the RPL Awards 2024 have been rescheduled to August 9 at Serena Hotel,” the organisers said in a statement ohtained by Times Sports.

The awarding event recognizes various categories with Elijah Ani, Kevin Muhire and Jea Bosco Ruboneka vying for the player of the season award whereas Frenchman Thierry Froger (ex APR FC coach), Sothene Habimana (Musanze FC) and Mukura VS’ Afahmia Lofti are running for the coach of the year award.
