Egypt forward Mo Salah has been voted Player of the Season at Liverpool where he has been outstanding again despite the disappointing season of the Reds.
With 31 goals and 6 assists in 51 appearances, Salah is arguably the player of the Merseyside club this season as his attack partners Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino have not showed qualities known to them.
He nearly claimed the Premier League Golden Boot this season but had to let it for Tottenham Hotspur’s star Harry Kane who clinched the award with one goal (23) more than the Pharaoh (22).
Salah however, has been congratulated by his coach Jurgen Klopp.

“Of course, I’m happy to win this award, especially as it is voted for by fans, but winning our final games and qualifying for the Champions League was the most important thing,” Mo Salah told Liverpoolfc.com.
“I think I have played OK this season, but it’s not about me – it’s about the team. For us as a team, I think if we’d had the fans in the stadium, our position, our situation, would have been much better. We suffered a lot this season with missing the fans.”
“So I am happy in the last game of the season we played with our fans. It was great to see them back in the stadium.”
