Striker and Captain, Emmanuel Adebayor of the Hawks of Togo opened the scoring in the first-half before substitute Dove Wome sealed the win for the Sparrow Hawks as Algeria failed to prove their chances of winning the tournament.

The first chance of the match fell for the fennec Foxes in the 14th minute when Islam Slimani collected a trough-pass from Sofiane Feghouli, only to blast his shot wide of goal.

However, in the 31”, the hunger and ager for a goal was broken as Adebayor ran onto a headed pass from Salifou before slipping the ball past the stranded Rais M’Bolhi of the Foxes.
