The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced Thursday that the Egypt Cup quarterfinals remaining games will take place on 21 November. This will happen only six days before the Cairo giants face off in the CAF Champions League final game. Al Ahly will face Abu Qir FC while Zamalek will play FC Masr.

Al Ahly booked their place in the Egypt Cup quarterfinals after beating Tersana 2-1 in the last 16. While Zamalek defeated Smouha 2-1 in the same round. 

Previously, Talae El-Gaish and Ittihad of Alexandria secured their places in the domestic competition semifinals. They beat Pyramids FC and Arab Contractors respectively last month. While theAl Ahly and Zamalek games were on hold due to their participation in the CAF Champions League. 

Ahly will face Zamalek in the CAF Champions League final 27 November.
