Friendly Miquissone, Tau score in Al Ahly’s win over Smouha

Mozambican Luis Miquissone and South African Percy Tau were on target for Al Ahly in a 5-1 win over Smouha SC in a friendly played in Egypt on Wednesday.

Al Ahly dated Smouha at El Tetsh Stadium to fine-tune for the CAF Super Cup game against Morocco’s Raja CA on 22 December in Doha. 

The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Simba player Miquissone put Al Ahly on victory path with a 16th minute finish.

Thereafter, former Sundowns and Brighton and Hove forward Tau showed his composure and skill before firing into the next for the second goal.

Ammar Hamdy added the third goal before Smouha were awarded a penalty which Ali Lofty saved.

However, there was no denying Smouha the consolation in the 64th minute as Sela pulled one back.

Tau left the stage and in came Hossam Hassan who scored scored the fourth goal followed by yet another substitute Walid Soliman’s fifth goal from the penalty spot.

Al Ahly squad regrouped on Monday after having a 24-hour rest ahead of the CAF Super Cup game.
