Nigeria Women Football League NWFL Management confirms June 9-26 As New Date For Super 6

The management of the Nigeria Women’s Football League NWFL Premiership has confirmed that the Super 6 finals which was earlier postponed indefinitely will now hold from June 9 to 26 in Asaba, Delta State capital.

The NWFL confirmed the new date on Tuesday in a circular to clubs through Chief Operating Officer, Modupe Shabi, who  confirmed the exciting development following a new approval of the Nigeria Football Federation NFFleadership.


The NWFL Premiership Super 6 which was initially scheduled for May 5 to 12, 2023, was postponed due to the upcoming WAFU-B U20 Women’s Cup in Ghana.

Participating teams are Rivers Angels, Delta Queens, Edo Queens, Bayelsa Queens, Confluence Queens and Robo Queens.

The eventual winner of this year’s NWFL Super Six tournament will represent Nigeria in WAFU-B Zonal qualifiers for CAF Women’s Champions League.
