Nigeria NWFL: NWFL Super Six Postponed Indefinitely

The newest information from the Nigeria Women Football League NWFL Premiership management indicates that the next Super Six playoff has been postponed indefinitely.

The league authority had announced on Monday that the dates and location of this year’s Super Six will be May 6–12 in Asaba, Delta State.

However, the NWFL’s Chief Operating Officer, Modupe Shabi, acknowledged the postponement in a statement today.

The statement omitted mentioning the cause of the delay.

The teams that have qualified for the Super Six are Delta Queens, Rivers Angels, champion Bayelsa Queens, Confluence Queens, Robo Queens, and Edo Queens.

She said that the new Super Six tournament date would be set following the inaugural WAFU-B U20 Women’s Cup in Ghana, which would take place from May 20 to June 3 in Kumasi.
