Friendly Muguna: Firat aware of my absence from Harambee Stars squad

Kenya midfielder Kenneth Muguna has explained why he is not part of the Harambee Stars squad currently in Mauritius for a Four-Nation tournament.

The 27-year-old Muguna was among the players summoned by coach Engin Firat ahead of the tournament that will see Kenya face Pakistan and Mauritius.

However, he missed out on the travelling squad and Muguna, who currently turns out for Tanzanian Premier League side Azam FC, has explained the reason behind it on his social media pages and further said he had briefed the Turkish coach about his absence.

“I couldn’t make it to the national team camp due to unavoidable circumstances, I had a conversation with the head coach Engin [Firat] and am happy he understood the situation too,” said Muguna adding: “Can’t wait to represent the country again in our future assignments.”
