Uganda Promoted Kitara FC unveil Ssenyondo to replace Sssimbwa

Ugandan Premier League newcomers Kitara FC have settled for Brian Ssenyondo as their new head coach ahead of the upcoming campaign.

Ssenyondo, who comes in to replace Sam Ssimbwa, was unveiled before the media on Thursday at the Grand Imperial Hotel in Kampala by the club president, Deo Kasozi, and chief executive officer, Joshua Atugonza and joined the Royals on a two-year working contract.

While unveiling the new tactician, Kasozi revealed: “We are excited to announce Brian [Ssenyondo] as our new head coach and he will be working for us for the next two years.

“We considered a number of things before making this decision but his philosophy and style largely resonate with our targets and we are ready to give him all the support he deserves.”

On his appointment, Ssenyondo said: “This is a great opportunity for me to be joining Kitara. I made this decision because the club is ambitious and I want to ensure we achieve these goals together.”

The youthful tactician, who is known for his offensive and expressive approach to the game joined Kitara from UPL side UPDF where he has been at the helm for two seasons.
