AFCON Super Eagles Arrives Monrovia Ahead Sierra Leone Clash

The Super Eagles have landed in Monrovia, Liberia ahead of their match against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone on Sunday to qualify for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

On Saturday morning, the players and their officials arrived in Monrovia for the game.

The three-time African champions will visit the game’s location, the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium, later today.

Just one win for the Super Eagles will guarantee them a spot in the Cote d’Ivoire finals of the AFCON in 2023.

With nine points, Jose Peseiro’s team is in second place in Group A, one point behind leaders Guinea-Bissau who have played one more game than they have.

In the rematch from last June, Nigeria defeated Leone Stars 2-1.

At 5:00 PM Nigerian time, the game will begin.
