A video of Kai Havertz speaking for the first time since moving to Arsenal from Chelsea has been leaked on social media.
The video shared by Punch Drunk Arsenal on their Twitter handle confirms the German international will wear shirt number 29. The Chelsea star has been negotiating a switch to the Emirates Stadium in recent weeks and was pictured in an Arsenal shirt on Tuesday to give the clearest indication yet that the deal is set to go through.
On joining Arsenal he said: “It’s super exciting for me personally. I’m so glad to join this amazing club, this club has such a big history, and I hope we can achieve lots of big things.”

Havertz’s imminent departure from Chelsea to join Arsenal means he will be playing in the Champions League next season, and the 24-year-old hailed the competition as a ‘special tournament’ after winning it with the Blues in 2021.
He is set to leave the club having played 139 times across all competitions, scoring 32 goals, with just nine of those coming last term as Chelsea finished down in 12th place.
