Morocco are thorugh to maiden AFCON U23 final following their 4-3 win on penalties on Tuesday night against Mali after a 2-2 scoreline at the end of extra-time.

The Moroccans were the one who launched the show with Zakaria El Ouahdi scoring the opener.

Mali waited until the 66th minute to equalize through Mamady Diambou.

The scoreline did not changed until both sides went to the extra time.

Morocco scored the first again thanks to Amine El Ouazzani in the 108th minute.

However, resilient Malians found the needed energy to equalize again as Issoufi Maïga brought them level.

Morocco went on winning by 4-3 on penalties and qualified for the final where they will face Egypt on July 8 but also for 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

On the other hand, Mali will take on Guinea for the third place game.
