Uganda Vipers SC confirm return of Bagoole ahead of new season

Ugandan Premier League champions Vipers SC have confirmed the return of midfielder David Bagoole in readiness for the new campaign.

A statement on the club’s official website stated: “The affable David ‘Tong Po’ Bagoole has finally completed his return to Vipers,” adding: “The immensely talented midfielder, who is a fan favourite, has penned a two-year employment contract that will have him at Kitende at least until 2025.”

Speaking after being unveiled, Bagoole said: “I’m happy and excited to be back to Vipers,” adding: “Have learnt my lessons and I will do everything I can to help achieve our goals.”

Bagoole initially joined Vipers’ in August 2020 on a three-year deal but left last year just after two seasons. In his first spell at the St. Mary’s Stadium, he played 20 league matches and won one Uganda Premier League title, as well as a solitary Uganda Cup.

The silky-skilled player who operates in the centre of the park then joined Fufa Big League side Jinja North United until the end of July. Bagoole got off his career at Busembatia before joining SC Villa and Sofapaka in 2014 and 2015, respectively.

Bagoole has previously played for La Passe in Seychelles, Police, and Baza Holdings – the latter two in Uganda. He has also in past featured for Busoga United in the Uganda Premier League, as well as OC Bukavu Dawa in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
