In a Saturday morning friendly match, Asisat Oshoala scored twice as the Super Falcons crushed Queensland Lions FC 8-1.

Before the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, the Super Falcons played their first friendly match since establishing camp in Brisbane, Australia.

From the outset, the Super Falcons controlled the match, pinning their opponent to the back.

Gift Monday, Uchenna Kanu, Ifeoma Onumonu, Toni Payne, Halimat Ayinde, Rasheedat Ajibade, and Halimat Ayinde scored the other goals for Randy Waldrum’s team.

On Sunday, the players and their representatives will relocate to the Sofitel Hotel in Brisbane, which will serve as their new camp base.

The focus of the team will now be on their opening fixture at the World Cup against Olympic champions, Canada next week Thursday.

The West Africans will also line up against Australia and the Republic of Ireland in Group B.

Australia and New Zealand will co-host the quadrennial competition from July 20 to August 20.
