The 2022 Commonwealth Games federation has removed the Nigerian women team gold medal from the women’s 4×100 metre relay because of a doping infraction.
Tobi Amusan, Favour Ofili, Rosemary Chukwuma, and Grace Nwokocha of Nigeria won the gold medal in the 4100 metre race at the previous Olympics.
Nzubechi Grace Nwokocha, a sprinter for Nigeria, has returned an adverse test in her sample for two prohibited anabolic agents, according to the Commonwealth Games Federation.

The 100-meter, 200-meter, and sprint relay results of Nwokocha have been ruled null and void, and the Athletics Integrity Unit has been notified of her anti-doping violations for any potential follow-up punishments.
As a result of the development, England’s women’s 4100 relay team, which placed second overall behind Nigeria in the 2022 Commonwealth Games, has now earned a gold medal.
The Commonwealth relay championship has been held by England thanks to their elevation to gold, with Jamaica earning second and Australia claiming third.
