Taahir Goedeman’s 52nd-minute strike, which resulted in the game’s lone goal, served as the game’s deciding factor.

During the opening five minutes of the game, there wasn’t much separating the two teams as the struggle for possession of the ball started in the middle of the field.

While the Dube Birds attempted to play the ball out from the back, City pressed up high in an effort to disrupt the home team’s passing flow.

Swallows maintained their neat appearance while in control and produced a few chances for goals. In return, the Citizens frequently tried to play on the counter-attack in an effort to score first.

As the 20th minute went on, City started to have more control, while Swallows appeared at ease, giving up the ball while defending outside of their own zone.

After 30 minutes of play at Dobsonville Stadium, the host team was slightly ahead of City in terms of possession percentage. However, during the first half, Eric Tinkler’s team had the more shots on goal.

The first 45 minutes were over with no significant goal action occurring and a score of 0-0.

Swallows had a strong start to the second half, and as a result of their pressure, they were given a corner early on. While City defended on the edge of their 18-yard box, the Dube Birds were positioned high up the pitch.

The Dube Birds applied tremendous pressure to City as the game came to an end, especially during the stoppage time period. At Dobsonville Stadium, though, the visitors braved the storm and earned all possible points.
