Africa Soccer Kwesi Appiah : ex-Ghana boss appointed Sudan national team coach

Former Ghana Black Stars head coach James Kwesi Appiah has been appointed as the new Sudan national team manager according to Ghanaian media reports.

The 63-year old managed the Black Stars for three years from 2017 to 2020.

After leaving his post, Appiah was appointed as Kempong Football Academy coach from 2021 to this year and he is now returning to national team coaching.

According to Ghanasoccernet, Kwesi Appiah has been named Sudan head coach.

The former Asante Kotoko manager is believed to have signed a 3-year deal with the Northeast-African country.

Appiah who led Ghana Black Stars to 2014 World Cup in Brazil will reportedly have many of fellow Ghanaians in his backroom staff.
