Kenya Blow for AFC Leopards as midfielder Saad Juma undergoes surgery

AFC Leopards midfielder Saad Musa has undergone successful surgery to repair his shoulder which could rule him out of action for the rest of the season.

The 27-year-old South Sudanese international confirmed on his social media pages that he had undergone the procedure to repair his right shoulder but could not divulge the duration he will be out of action.

“Had a successful bank art repair on my right shoulder…we give thanks to the Almighty; let’s get together through the recovery journey,” Musa wrote on his official Facebook page.

Since moving to Ingwe from Thika United in 2018, Musa has been among the team’s influential players. His absence could be a huge blow to new coach Tomas Trucha, who is striving to revive Ingwe’s fortunes in the FKF Premier League.

Ingwe are currently placed 17th in the 18-team table and are yet to win a match from the seven played. They have managed four draws and suffered three defeats – 1-0 against KCB, 2-0 against Gor Mahia, and 1-0 against Bandari.

The lackluster display saw the club fire coach Tom Juma and replace him with Trucha, but the Czech tactician suffered a 1-0 defeat against Bandari on his first outing at Mbaraki Sports Club on Sunday.
