Nigeria Premier League NPFL: Heartland FC Appoints Boboye As Head Coach

Kennedy Boboye, a former head coach of Akwa United, has been named Heartland FC’s new technical adviser. He will hold this position through the end of the 2023–2024 season in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Christian Obi, who guided the Naze Millionaires to just one league victory in his first nine games this season, was replaced as head coach by Boboye.

Obi has been told by Heartland FC management to either join Heartland FC Team B or serve as an assistant to the former Plateau United coach.

This weekend, when they visit NPFL champions Enyimba at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, Boboye’s debut game in command of the five-time NPFL champions will be an Oriental Derby.
