Tanzania Relief as FIFA lifts transfer embargo on champions Yanga SC

The world’s football governing body (FIFA) has lifted the player signing ban imposed on Young Africans after paying their former player Gael Bigirimana.

This is according to information released by the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) on Wednesday through their verified Instagram page. Initially, the player (Bigirimana) filed a case to FIFA against his former club [Young Africans] which did not pay him after the termination of his contract.

He won the case and Yanga was required to pay him within 45 days after the verdict, but they could not hence FIFA imposed a player signing ban on them. “Following the fulfillment of his payment, TFF has also lifted the domestic player signing ban it imposed on Yanga,” reads Wednesday’s statement.
