According to Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca, Kelechi Iheanacho is still recovering from an injury.

Muscular injuries kept Iheanacho out of Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations preparations.

Iheanacho will reunite with his colleagues in camp on Saturday, according to news released earlier this week by Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro.

However, Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca has revealed the true situation of Iheanacho’s fitness .

Speaking on Friday, Enzo Maresca provided an update on Vardy and Iheanacho condition:

“He’s better. He started to train with us and he’s getting better. He’s not in the squad for tomorrow.”

“Kasey is back and Dennis is back,” Maresca told a press conference ahead of his side’s clash with Coventry City.

“The only ones [out] are Jamie and Kel, still out, both of them.”
