Transfers DONE DEAL: Kenya’s Ayub Timbe seals move to Azerbaijan side Sabail FK

Harambee Stars winger Ayub Timbe has completed a transfer switch to Azerbaijan top-flight side Sabail FK on a short-term deal.

The speedy winger penned the contract on Monday after leaving Nanjing City in China, a side he signed for in March 2023.

Sabail announced the capture of the Harambee Star by saying on their official website: “We have completed the transfer of another footballer during the winter period. Following the acquisition of Madi Queta, the team has now signed a contract with Kenyan footballer Ayub Masika Timbe, lasting until the end of the season.”

Timbe, who has been a regular for Kenya’s Harambee Stars under coach Engin Firat has alsp turned out for Genk, Lierse, Beijing Renhe, Reading, Vissel Kobe, and Buriram United.

He was part of the squad that kicked off Kenya’s campaign in the World Cup qualifiers, losing 2-1 away to Gabon before defeating Seychelles 5-0 in their second group fixture.
