Tanzania Mudathir, Pacome score as Yanga SC thrash KMC to open gap

Young Africans (Yanga SC) established a seven-point lead at the top of the Premier League table after whipping KMC 3-0 at Jamhuri Stadium in Morogoro on Saturday.

A brace by Mudathir Yahya and one contribution from Pacome Zouzoua awarded the reigning champions a comfortable triumph. Miguel Gamondi’s charges have since claimed 43 points from 16 games and it was their 14th win of the campaign.

Yanga have scored more goals (39) than any other team on the log and conceded fewest (8) goals. Out of 39 goals, eight of them have been supplied by KMC as in the first-round meeting between the duo, Yanga won 5-0.

For the Kinondoni-based side, the upset is their fourth this term as they remained glued on fifth spot with 22 points after 16 matches. On Sunday, JKT Tanzania will face Namungo FC at Major General Isamuhyo Stadium in Mbweni, Dar es Salaam.
