Premier League Arteta Confirms Partey Availability For Sheffield Clash

Manager Mikel Arteta announced that Thomas Partey, who has only made four Premier League appearances this season due to multiple injuries, will make his comeback to the Arsenal squad on Monday when they take on Sheffield United, who are currently in last place.

As for Partey, he hasn’t played since October.

“Thomas has a session before the last game and now he’s done two consecutive sessions and he should be part of the squad,” Arteta told reporters on Thursday.

Takehiro Tomiyasu and Oleksandr Zinchenko, who are both out with calf problems, are nearing recovery but may not play on Monday, according to Arteta.

“It’s possible but we’ll have to wait and see, especially the last two sessions on Saturday and Sunday,” he added.

Moving forward The manager stated that Gabriel Jesus, who was out for the 4-1 victory over Newcastle United on Saturday due to a knee injury sustained earlier in the month, requires further time to recover.

Gabriel is sufficiently fit. How long he stays is another matter entirely. Regarding the Brazil international, Arteta stated, “We didn’t want to take any chances.

According to Arteta, Sheffield United is a skillfully managed team that is hard to defeat.

“It will be a tough match… when you are (in the relegation zone) you really want to get out of it as quick as possible,” he said.

“We have a lot to play for as well and this is a big game for us.

After 26 games, Arsenal has 58 points, two points behind leaders Liverpool. United is 11 points outside of the safety zone with 13 points.
