While many take years to adpat to English football which is harder than every other one, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku shined in his first season in the Championship palyingh a key role to secure Leicester City a Premier League promotion. But what is next for the Ghanaian youngster as the summer transfer window looms in the corner.

The 2004-born quickly caught all the attention with the Foxes he joined on loan last summer from Portugues side Sporting Lisbon.

Fatawu Issahaku had to make a way for himself in an attack line where Jamy Vardy, a Leicester legend and Nigerian Kelechi Iheanacho are inevitable.

If the debut where difficult, the boy from Tamale turned things around and his figures are interesting. Abdul Fatawu Issahaku scored 7 goals and provided 12 assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.

His most memorable performance is the hat-trick against Southampton on Tuesday in a 5-0 thriller of the Saints.

With the Premier League promotion being secured now, Fatawu Issahaku is yet to collect offers on the market. His performances this season could push Leicester officials to sign him in a permanent move as his contract still runs until 2027 with Sporting.

Issahaku’s current market value is €7m according to Transfermarket.
