UEFA Champions League UCL: Tuchel Urges Bavarian Fans To Create Incredible Atmosphere Against Madrid

In an effort to help his team win a seventh European championship, Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has asked the home crowd to generate a unique atmosphere when they play Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final on Tuesday at Allianz Arena.

For the first time since winning the competition in 2020, Bayern reached the round of sixteen in the Champions League, while record-tying 14-time winners Real Madrid last won the title in 2022.

In the second leg of the quarterfinal match at home, Joshua Kimmich scored the lone goal to help Bayern defeat Premier League team Arsenal 3-2 overall.

“We need the atmosphere to be incredible.

“We also need the fans to support us, even in moments when it’s more difficult.

Together with the fans, we need to create an atmosphere that gives us an advantage,” Tuchel told reporters on Monday.

“When you’re playing against Real Madrid, you’re also up against the aura, the legend that surrounds them. Our focus will be fully on the game.

“We’re all looking forward to a great match.

“(Madrid have) clear patterns. It’s a mix of a midfield diamond and two holding, two attacking midfielders. It’s very flexible, experienced and automated.”

Prior to the match, Tuchel may be without a few important players due to injuries, notably playmaker Jamal Musiala, 21, who has 12 goals and seven assists this season in all competitions.

As of right now, nothing is 100% certain,” the German said.

“Konrad Laimer, Matthijs de Ligt and Dayot Upamecano will undergo some final checks soon. Things look good for Konni (Konrad).

“We also need to wait and see with Jamal Musiala and Leroy Sane.”

The goal, according to 29-year-old Kimmich, is still to position Bayern for maximum advantage on May 8 at Santiago Bernabeu in the second leg.

“It’s a clash between two big clubs. We know that Real have a lot of experience and quality in their team.

They believe in themselves and know their strengths,” the midfielder added.

“Nevertheless, we’re heading into the game with plenty of confidence ourselves.

” We put in two good performances against Arsenal and have no reason to hide.”
