Senegalese coach Habib Beye will leave French side Red Star after guiding them to Ligue 2 promotion recently winning the country’s third Division championship.

Th 46-year old started the journey with Red Star back in 2021 as an interim coach. But his good results at the helm of the team propelled him to the main manager until this season.

He succeeded in bringing Red Star back to Ligue 2 by winning the French Third Division Championship with a large margin on top.

so far, he never hid his ambition to coach a the highest level and now L’Equipe is reporting that he has announced to his officials that he is not going to sign a new contract with them when the current one expire in June.

That means that Habib Beye will leave Red Star in search for a new and harder challenge in Ligue 1 probably as he has already had initial talks with Reims.
