Manchester United Rashford, Lisandro Back From Injury Ahead Of Arsenal Game

Ahead of their Premier League match with Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday, Manchester United announced on Thursday that they are encouraged by the return of centre back Lisandro Martinez and forward Marcus Rashford to team training.

At Wembley, United lost a 3-0 lead to Championship team Coventry City in the FA Cup semi-final, which Rashford had sustained an injury in.

United ultimately prevailed on penalties.

Three games, including a 4-0 thumping at Crystal Palace earlier in the week, have since been missed by the 26-year-old England international, who leads the team with eight goals and five assists this season across all competitions.

When United and Brentford drew 1-1 in March, Argentine Martinez suffered a calf strain, which has kept him out of action.

With three games remaining, United is currently ranked eighth in the league standings with 54 points, while Arsenal leads the table with 83 points, one more than the champion Manchester City, who also have a game in hand.
