Serie A Pioli To Leave AC Milan At The End Of The Season

Stefano Pioli, AC Milan’s manager, will depart the club a year before the conclusion of his contract.

The Italian, who has been Milan’s manager since 2019, will have his final game in charge on Saturday against Salernitana in Serie A.

Pioli led Milan to their first Serie A title in 11 years, in 2022.

They finished fourth the next season, but the board remained confident in Pioli as Milan advanced to the Champions League semi-finals, only to be eliminated by local rivals Inter Milan.

AC Milan is sure to finish second in Serie A this season, but they trail winners Inter by 19 points into Saturday’s final round of games.

Pioli’s contract was set to expire in 2025, but both sides agreed to terminate it now.

AC Milan expressed their “heartfelt thanks” to the 58-year-old, saying he helped “re-establish” the club as a European powerhouse.
