The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) board has directed Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan to implement additional security and crowd control measures at the Lekan Salami Stadium for Wednesday’s match against Rangers International.

As the 2023/2024 NPFL season nears its conclusion, both teams will face off in a mid-week encounter on Match Day 36.

Remember that during the Oriental Derby match day 34 between Rangers and Enyimba at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, spectators encroached on the ground, causing the match to be abandoned.

In a related incident, the match between Doma United and Sunshine Stars has been rescheduled owing to a traffic accident involving Doma United. The new date for the game is Wednesday, June 19, 2024.
