COSAFA Cosafa Cup: Namibia Defeat Lesotho To Keep Quarter Final Hope Alive

Namibia defeated Lesotho 2-1 in Group C of the 2024 Cosafa Cup in front of a large crowd.

Ivan Kamberipa scored Namibia’s first goal on 36 minutes, but Lesotho equalised shortly after halftime through Neo Mokhachane.

Namibia looked to score again, and Bethuel Muzeu did so with a composed finish.

Angola leads the pool into Wednesday’s last round of games.

They and Namibia have four points and a +1 goal differential, although Angola has three goals to Namibia’s two.

Lesotho and Seychelles have one point each and remain in contention for the semifinals.

The action resumes on Tuesday with four matches, two at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium and two at the Isaac Wolfson Stadium.
