Chelsea has agreed to sign defender Aaron Anselmino from Argentine giants Boca Juniors for $18 million, according to a source at the Buenos Aires-based club.
Anselmino began his Boca career at the age of 12, made his first-team debut in 2023, and after ten games, drew interest from European clubs like as Manchester United and AC Milan.
The Argentine club agreed with Chelsea to keep the 19-year-old for at least six months so that fans may “enjoy” the centre-back before he moves to the Premier League.

“The agreement is complete, paperwork is being exchanged.
“The transfer will be finalised now, but he will stay at Boca,” a source told Reuters.
Boca president and former Argentina international Juan Roman Riquelme stated a few days earlier that Anselmino “will become a great footballer and a national team player”.
Boca, which announced the signing of midfielder Tomas Belmonte on Monday, has not provided any formal information about Anselmino’s transfer.
