Ghana’s Medeama recovered from their opening defeat to snatch a 2-1 victory against CR Belouizdad in a CAF Champions League fixture played on Friday.
The Ghanaian outfit had suffered a 3-0 defeat against Al Ahly of Egypt in their opener but they recovered to stop the North African side, who had kicked off their Group campaign with a 3-0 victory against Tanzania’s Young Africans (Yanga SC).

With the backing of the home support, the Ghanaians continued to push forward despite the setback and were duly rewarded just before the break as Daniel Lomotey found the equalizer in the 45th minute.
With the match destined for a stalemate, Mamudu Kamaradin stole the show in the referee’s additional time to make it 2-1 to the hosts and secure an emphatic victory over their visitors.
