In an earlier interview, CR Belouizdad coach Marcos Paqueta maintained his confidence in getting their second group win against Medeama. He said: “We have reviewed Medeama’s weaknesses and worked on taking advantage while keeping our same style home and away,” noted Paqueta, adding: “We don’t care about our opponents. We’ll approach the game with the intention of winning.”

By toppling Algeria’s seasoned continental campaigners at the Baba Yara Stadium, the outright underdogs would dramatically reignite their Champions League ambitions. Adotey only cares about the result, not the scoreline. Either way, an upset would profoundly bolster Medeama’s hopes of progressing from Group D.
