African players abroad Sebastien Haller makes instant impact on league debut with Ajax

Ivory Coast forward Sebastien Haller played his first Eredivisie game with Ajax Amsterdam on Sunday after his move from Premier League side West Ham.

Though Hammer have invested big money (€40m) to acquire the services of Haller, Ajax have just paid €22,5m to land him from England.

And the 26-year-old centre-forward gave reason to his officials against PSV Eindhoven.

He was a second-half substitute and few minutes after his entrance he scored before being denied by the referee as he was intially offside.

However, he did not let over as he managed to be decisive for his side as he assisted Anthony on the equalizer (2-2).

“Happy to have been able to play my 1st game with Ajax even if we did not have the desired result. Focus on the next game” he reacted after the game.
