Asisat Oshoala scored for Barcelona Femeni who booked their spot in the semi-finals of the UEFA Women’s Champions on 4-2 aggregate against Manchester City.
Having won the first leg 3-0, Oshoala and her teammates headed to England with that advantage but found themselves trailing in the 20th minute.
After missing some clear cut chances to equalize for her side, Oshoala finally levelled in the 59th minute off Caroline Hansen’s assist.
Manchester City, however, reacted quickly from the penalty spot with a Mewis goal in the 68th minute to make it 2-1.
From there, the match opened up and both teams enjoyed opportunities, such as one from Oshoala that did not end up in the back of the net.
Barca goalkeeper made some fine saves to deny the host.
Despite the six minutes of added time, the scoreboard did not moved as Barça Femení lost 2-1 but cruised to the semi final on 4-2 aggregate.
