Moroccan winger Hakim Ziyech scored a late goal for Chelsea in the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

The Premier League second round game seemed headed for a draw when Ziyech scored with a minute to full time for Chelsea to remain in third place.

The Thomas Tuchel men are seven points behind second placed Liverpool and 13 points behind leaders Manchester City.

Ziyech should have given Chelsea an early lead but VAR ruled his effort offside.

The winger is great form this season as he has scored four goals in 14 Premier League games for Chelsea.

Overall, Ziyech has made it six goals in 37 appearances for Chelsea who he joined a few seasons ago from Ajax Amsterdam.

However, his career with the national team seems over following his sour relationship with coach Vahid Halilhodzic who left the player out from the Africa Cup of Nations squad and now the World Cup qualifiers.

The players I have selected are the best in the country,” he said. “I don’t select a player who can unbalance the group,” the coach said recently
