The venue, date and kick-off time for the titanic clash between Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly on Saturday has been confirmed. Their CAF Champions League return leg game will take place at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, 12 March with kick-off time 135:00 GMT.

At the halfway mark of the group stages to determine the quarter-finalists, Masandawana lead Group A with seven points. Al Ahly are in second spot with four points, ahead of Sudan side Al-Merrikh by virtue of having won their head-to-head clash.

The second Sudanese side in the group, Al-Hilal, are currently fourth and last with a single point. But they could well have a say in which two teams progress from the group to the last 8.

A win for Mamelodi Sundowns would secure their place in the quarter-finals, depending on the result of the Al-Hilal v Al-Merrikh clash 24 hours earlier on Friday, 11 March.

A defeat for Al Ahly and a win for Al-Merrikh would once again put the defending champions in danger of not progressing from the group stage.
