Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey has been showing the consistency that reflects his quality.

Arteta said this in a post-match interview after Partey’s impressing midfield showing in the 1-0 win over Aston Villa on Saturday evening.

Bukayo Saka scored the lone winner for the Gunners at Villa Park.

“I think in general the team was really, really good,” he told Arsenal website.

“We had Thomas, when we talk about consistency and the level, I think in three games in six days that he hasn’t had for a while since he’s been here, I think he played at his level, at his best level for three consecutive games and that’s for the team a big, big boost.”

Partey has been impressive for Arsenal and won Arsenal Player of the Month Award for February.

The win saw the Gunners cement their top four spot that brightens hope for Uefa Champions League football for next season.

Arsenal provided a perfect response to adversity having smarted from a 2-0 loss to title-chasing Liverpool on Wednesday night.
