Despite preparing for the Coppa Italia semi-final against Fiorentina, Cremonese were unable to overcome Atalanta’s dominance.

Soualiho Meite and Rafael Toloi had early chances to score, but it was Duvan Zapata who set up de Roon’s first goal of the match on the stroke of halftime.

Atalanta made substitutions at halftime and immediately appeared more fluid on the field. Cremonese scored a penalty as a result of Rafael Toloi’s handball, but Atalanta regained the lead with goals from Boga and Lookman.

Although Cremonese had chances to tie the game again, Atalanta held on to win.
