Bala Nikyu, the technical adviser of Nigeria Premier Football League side Nasarawa United, has resigned from his position following a string of poor results.
Since the start of the season, the Solid Miner, who have adopted New Jos Stadium as their home ground, have struggled.
The team’s chances of escaping the drop zone improved in the midweek after they tied Enyimba 1-1 in Aba, but the result dropped again when they faced El-Kanemi Warriors this weekend.

They were defeated 1-2 at home by El-Kanemi Warriors, further jeopardizing their chances of survival.
Nikyu’s resignation was announced via the team’s social media handle, and Bala Arikya was confirmed as the interim manager.
“Coach Bala Nkiyu resigns as Nasarawa United Technical Adviser, with Abubakar Arikya expected to take over the team in the interim,” the club announced.
