Transfer window Ruben Loftus-Cheek leaves Chelsea for AC Milan on a four-year deal

AC Milan have signed midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea on a four-year contract.

The two clubs did not disclose the fee involved but it has been reported that Milan will pay £15m plus add-ons. The 27-year-old had been at Stamford Bridge since he was a youth player.

Chelsea confirmed the exit of the player by stating: “After 19 years as a Chelsea player, Ruben Loftus-Cheek has left the club and completed a permanent transfer to AC Milan,” adding: “Loftus-Cheek joined Chelsea as a U8 and enjoyed sustained success during his time in the Academy. The midfielder won the FA Youth Cup and the Uefa Youth League before his elevation to the senior squad during the 2014-15 season.”
